Ukraine reports one of the largest attacks of the war

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently under intense pressure from Russian attacks. A brigade reported a massive attack by Kremlin troops at Donesk, which they attempted to repel. The situation is critical for the defenders elsewhere as well.

The 79th Airborne Brigade of Ukraine recently reported on social media about "one of the biggest attacks of the war" towards Kurachowe near the large city of Donesk. There, 57 armored vehicles, 12 motorcycles, and 200 infantrymen reportedly launched a breakthrough attempt. The Ukrainian fighters claim they repelled the attack of the Kremlin troops and released corresponding video material. However, these claims cannot be independently verified.

Military expert Colonel Markus Reisner, in a conversation with ntv.de, confirmed that along the entire front in the Donbass, the Russians are attacking and we are seeing an increasing number of breaches in the Ukrainian positions.

Regarding the Russian attack towards Kurachowe, the 79th Brigade reported that 11 tanks, 45 armored combat vehicles with infantry, and a Terminator combat support vehicle were used simultaneously. This refers to one of the many alleged "wonder weapons" in the Russian military ranks. Terminator combat support vehicles are said to neutralize anti-tank units.

Attack from multiple directions

"The assault began simultaneously from multiple directions. Air reconnaissance detected the Russian military equipment far in advance," the Ukrainians reported. Artillery and drones reportedly stopped the first tanks and armored combat vehicles. The attack is visible on a compiled video.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces often publish clips of successful actions to demonstrate their strength. Mostly, these are attacks by kamikaze drones. Failures, on the other hand, rarely make it to social media.

The 79th Brigade's balance: six destroyed tanks and seven destroyed armored combat vehicles. All motorcycles were eliminated. The number of dead Russian soldiers is said to be 40, and the number of wounded 37. "After the destruction of the first tanks and armored vehicles, the others fled from the battlefield," the Ukrainians reported.

Reisner: Ukrainian front overextended

Not far from the large-scale attack at Kurachowe, there were reports of two Ukrainian battalions being encircled in the small town of Prohres. The military-affiliated channel Deepstate later reported on the successful escape of the Ukrainians and spoke of a "very nervous and difficult operation." The incident should serve as a "warning" for commanders.

Military expert Reisner considers the front to be overextended for the Ukrainian troops at present: "They had to move important reserves towards Kharkiv when the Russians attacked there. These troops are missing in the Donbass and allow the Russians to be successful there. With the attack on Kharkiv, the Russians have effectively laid a trap, which the Ukrainians have fallen for. The Russian troops have not yet achieved a real breakthrough, but their advance is successful. This is evident from the past three weeks."

  1. The escalation of the 'War and Conflicts' in Ukraine continues, with 'Russia' launching a series of attacks, such as the one at Donesk, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces are doing their best to repel.
  2. The latest 'Politics' surrounding this conflict involves the international community expressing concern over the 'Attack on Ukraine' by Russia, urging for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing 'War and Conflicts'.
  3. In response to the 'Russian attack' at Kurachowe, the Ukrainian military has utilized their 'Military' resources effectively, managing to destroy several tanks and armored combat vehicles, causing significant casualties to the Russian troops.
