Ukraine reportedly annihilates Russian base using Shahed drones.

Amidst the chaos in Ukraine, Russia continues to unleash terror with cruise missiles, drones, and more on the innocent civilians. However, Ukraine has allegedly dealt a major setback to the Iranian-made Shahed drones.

Ukraine claims to have destroyed a Shahed drone base on a Russian military base. The Ukrainian Navy announced the news on Facebook, sharing satellite images of the wreckage thought to be the aftermath of the attack.

The target was a storage and preparation site for the drones manufactured in Iran, with a control and communication center for the unmanned aerial vehicles rumored to be located on the Yeysk military airfield in the Krasnodar region of Russia.

Reports indicate that the attack took place over 100 kilometers behind the front lines, leading to the deaths of several instructors and soldiers. The Ukrainian side's claims are yet to be independently verified, with no official statement from the Russian side regarding the incident.

As per "Kyiv Independent", the attack supposedly took place on a Friday. On that day, the Ukrainian General Staff reported drone attacks on oil refineries and a Shahed drone base. At least one of the targeted refineries suffered a fire due to the attack, injuring two people.

Russia boasts of shooting down over 100 Ukrainian drones in the attack, with a significant number being taken down over Crimea. Several remotely operated boats were also reportedly thwarted, it was said.

Russia is infamous for using drones to target civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, with the energy sector being a primary focus. Besides Shahed drones, various types of cruise missiles and glide bombs are also used in these attacks.
