Ukraine finalizes security accord with the EU
Following a string of security accords with Western powers, Ukraine is geared up to ink a similar deal with the EU imminently. As stated on their official website, the negotiation teams from Ukraine and the EU have finalized the security accord's text and agreed to put their signatures on it shortly.
Ukraine already boasts agreements with 17 countries, including heavyweight EU and G7 nations like Germany, France, and the UK. In the recent past week, Ukraine has sealed a ten-year security accord with the US, where Washington committed long-term backing to Kiev in their battle against Russian aggressions. Per the Ukrainian presidency, similar accords are in the pipeline with another ten partner countries.
Currently, the Ukrainian military finds itself in a defensive stance at multiple frontline sections, due in part to a dearth of manpower and ammunition.
