Ukraine attacks several Russian regions
One day after a massive Russian offensive against Ukraine, according to Moscow's statements, the troops of Kiev attacked several Russian regions in response. The governor of the border region Belgorod declared on Tuesday that at least four people had been killed in these attacks within 24 hours. Ukrainian attacks were also reported from other western Russian regions, such as Kursk and Volgograd.
According to Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov in the region of Belgorod, besides the four fatalities, at least 20 people were injured, 17 of whom had to be hospitalized. Gladkov described the past 24 hours as "restless" and "difficult" in an online post on Telegram.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that 38 Ukrainian drones had been destroyed during the night, including 21 over the Rostov region and five over Astrakhan. The governor of Astrakhan spoke of a "massive attempt to attack targets with drones." These attacks were "successfully repelled," added Igor Babushkin.
Ukrainian attacks occurred a day after a massive Russian offensive against various cities and regions in the neighboring country. According to Ukrainian reports, at least 37 people were killed and 170 injured. Among other things, a missile reportedly hit a children's hospital in Kiev.
