Russia and Ukraine have once again attacked each other with drones and missiles. "Last night, the city of Sudzha was shelled from Ukraine," said Alexei Smirnov, the governor of the Russian region of Kursk, on Telegram. Several residential buildings were severely damaged and at least five people were injured. Smirnov also released pictures of the affected houses. In the neighboring region of Belgorod, authorities reported damage to buildings and cars. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 34 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight and in the morning.

The Ukrainian air force reported that the Russian military had launched four ballistic missiles and two air-to-ground missiles at targets in Ukraine. Only two of the ballistic missiles were shot down. A video circulating on social media showed what appeared to be a damaged Russian missile crashing and exploding in the eastern Kyiv suburb of Brovary. Additionally, the Russian army reportedly deployed 15 combat drones at targets in the regions of Kyiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Khmelnytskyi, all of which were allegedly intercepted. However, there were reports of damage from falling debris in the Kyiv area.

The Ukrainian military did not provide specific details about the ballistic missiles used by Russia. They could have been either Russian Iskander missiles or North Korean KN-32 missiles. A day earlier, a Ukrainian portal specializing in military analysis reported, citing its own sources, that Russia had again fired North Korean missiles towards Bila Tserkva near Kyiv at the end of July. In February, Ukrainian reports suggested that KN-32 missiles were used against targets in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. Western and Ukrainian reports suggest that Russia has been relying on weapons supplies from Iran and North Korea for some time due to a lack of its own resources.

Ukraine has been repelling a Russian invasion for over two years. Both sides regularly attack targets deep in the other's territory using drones and missiles. To strengthen its air defense, Ukraine has been reinforced with Western systems, particularly from Germany.

The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to escalate, with each side using drones and missiles to attack the other's territory. Last night, Ukrainian air force reported the launch of four ballistic missiles and two air-to-ground missiles at Ukrainian targets, two of which were only partially intercepted.

Despite frequent attacks, Ukraine has been persistently defending against the Russian invasion, enhancing its air defense capabilities with Western systems, particularly drone technology from Germany.
