Besides the usual problems with German Railways, there were no major issues in Germany during the European Football Championship. The Berlin Senate and UEFA were generous with praise.

European Championship - UEFA and Senate: Fantastic fans, fantastic organization

After the UEFA European Football Championship in Germany, the Berlin authorities, DFB, and UEFA drew a very positive conclusion and praised their own work. UEFA Tournament Director Martin Kallen stated on Monday in Berlin: "We are very satisfied with the result. There were fantastic fans, excellent organization, cities that fully participated. Everyone did a great job. 'We from UEFA are always very satisfied when we can do something in Germany.'

Berlin's Senator for Interior and Sports Iris Spranger (SPD) stated: "We have shown that we can ensure security. (...). Berlin has won. In total, there were one million people on the fan zones during the EM. Spranger added: "Of course we can also host the Olympics. (...). But we can only do that if it is a national bid and if the Federal Government makes that decision."

The European Championship, also known as the European Football Championship, was a significant success, as noted by UEFA, DFB, and Berlin authorities. The fans' enthusiasm during the tournament was praised widely. Iris Spranger, Berlin's Senator for Interior and Sports, expressed satisfaction with the event's security measures. The fan zones saw over one million visitors during the EM. Martin Kallen, UEFA Tournament Director,was impressed by the overall organization of the tournament.
