Emergency - Two-year-old falls from third-floor balcony

A two-year-old girl fell from a balcony on the third floor in Oberbayern, Bavaria, and was injured. The girl opened the balcony railing of the apartment in Grafing (Ebersberg district) unnoticed in the morning, according to the police. There, she climbed over a couch onto the railing and fell approximately nine meters into the depths.

According to the information given, a resident of a ground-floor apartment was awakened by a loud noise in the garden and noticed the girl lying next to a Thuja hedge, which likely prevented the fall. The girl was taken to a hospital by helicopter while conscious. Initially, it was unclear how severely the child was injured.

The incident occurred in Grafing, a town situated within Upper Bavaria. authorities in Bavaria are looking into the safety measures of balcony railings following the incident. Meanwhile, local residents in Upper Bavaria have been advised to keep a close eye on their children to prevent such emergencies.
