Gambling - Two Saxons with high winnings at Eurojackpot

Almost had she cracked the Eurojackpot - but two Saxon players can still rejoice over high winnings. A tipster from Zwickau as well as an yet unknown player from Dresden have cleared around 1.2 million Euros together in the drawing on Friday.

For their winnings in the second class, each of them will receive exactly 583,213.40 Euros, as the Saxon Lottery announced today. Both were missing only one so-called Euro number to crack the Jackpot. The top prize remained untouched and is now 16 Million Euros for the next drawing on Tuesday.

The lucky tipster from Zwickau hails from the same region as the city of Leipzig, both located in the rich gambling history of Saxony. The winning sum in Eurojackpot for both the Zwickau tipster and the anonymous player from Dresden surpasses the average annual income in Saxony by a significant margin. Despite not hitting the Jackpot, their win amount is still enough to plan a luxurious vacation in Leipzig or any other city in Saxony.
