Two Russian fuel stations engulfed in flames.

In the dead of night, two Russian fuel storage facilities went up in flames. Authorities in the Voronezh region pinned the blame on a Ukrainian drone attack, claiming fragments from an intercepted drone ignited an empty tank. Social media saw the spread of purported drone strike footage, although the severity of the damage remained unclear.

Meanwhile, a blaze engulfed fuel tanks in a rural area close to Perm in the Ural region, approximately 1700 kilometers away from Ukraine. The Russian Emergency Services reported this incident, but no mention of a drone attack was made, despite Ukraine's drones having the range for such a strike. The ministry suggested either careless handling of fire or a malfunction as plausible reasons.

Russia has been targeting Ukraine's refineries and fuel depots in an attempt to disrupt their supply lines for the army.

Ukrainian sources reported their own drone assaults aimed at crucial infrastructure. According to an air force spokesperson, 19 drones were downed, and seven more were disrupted by electronic interference. The fate of the remaining trio of drones wasn't specified. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported minor damage to a residential building in the capital, which was swiftly put out.

The governor of the central Ukrainian region of Kirovohrad reported minor damage to an administrative building, leaving one employee with minor injuries. In the southern region of Kherson, the governor detailed attacks on critical infrastructure, supply facilities, and 35 private homes, resulting in one fatality and injuring four individuals.

The international community strongly condemned the reported drone attack on Russian fuel storage facilities in the Voronezh region, which authorities linked to Ukraine. In light of these events, Russia accused Ukraine of deliberately targeting their refineries and fuel depots to disrupt their supply lines.
