traffic - Two motorcyclists injured in collision
Two motorcycle riders were severely injured in an accident at Seebach (Ortenaukreis), according to the police. Both drivers were taken to a hospital.
A 70-year-old was riding his motorcycle behind a car on the Bundesstraße 500 when the car wanted to turn onto a parking lot. The motorcycle rider realized this too late and collided with the car. The motorcycle was then thrown to the side and hit an oncoming motorcycle of a 52-year-old. He also fell off.
The B 500 was closed for approximately one hour. Damage amounted to around 20,000 Euro.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the motorcycle accident in Seebach, located within the Ortenau District of Baden-Württemberg. The auto involved in the accident was temporarily redirected during the clean-up process. Despite the severe injuries, both motorcycle riders managed to avoid a more serious incident, such as a head-on collision, opting instead for a fender bender. In neighboring towns, local authorities issued reminders about shared road responsibilities to prevent similar incidents.
