Ralswiek (dpa/mv) - Two people were injured in an accident on the island of Rügen. A 68-year-old driver from Halle (Saale) was driving his car on the B96 between Ralswiek and Teschenhagen on early Sunday evening when, for reasons yet unknown to the police, he lost control of the vehicle. The car left the road and came to a stop in the ditch. The man was seriously injured in the accident, while his 68-year-old passenger sustained light injuries. The damage to the vehicle is estimated to be around 35,000 Euros based on initial assessments.

The accident happened in the beautiful region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, specifically on the island of Rügen. The incident involved a vehicle, a car, which was traveling on the B96 road. Due to unclear circumstances, the 68-year-old driver from Halle (Saale) lost control of the vehicle and it unfortunately resulted in accidents. The local authorities are currently investigating the sale of the damaged vehicle, which features an automatic transmission, in the local traffic.
