Beloved British television personality and doctor Michael Mosley has been found deceased on the Greek island of Symi. The island's mayor, Lefteris Papakalodoukas, confirmed the news to the Greek news channel Skai, and Mosley's wife subsequently confirmed his passing to the British news agency PA. The 67-year-old had accidentally taken a wrong turn while hiking and fell in a hard-to-reach area where rescuers struggled to locate him.

In the United Kingdom, Mosley was a well-known TV medico and writer. He made regular appearances on various shows and hosted the BBC podcast "Just One Thing," sharing advice on how people could improve their well-being. Mosley advocated for intermittent fasting and the popular 5:2 diet. He frequently contributed to the Daily Mail newspaper and published works such as "The New Fast Diet: Better Fasting" and "The 8-Week Blood Sugar Diet."

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is devastated by Mosley's demise. He shared his grief on Instagram: "He was such an amazingly kind, warm-hearted, and lovely guy. Mosley positively impacted public health through his TV programs and research. He will be sorely missed."

The British media had been thoroughly covering the mysterious disappearance of Mosley since June 5th. In her statement, his wife conveyed gratitude towards the individuals who assisted in the search for the adventurous Mosley. While losing her husband is tragic, she cherishes the incredible life they shared together.
