Universities - TU Dresden successful in acquiring funding

The Technical University of Dresden (TU) ranks third in Germany when applying for funding from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and secured approximately 11.2 million Euros for internationalization projects and scholarships last year. This includes around 3.2 million Euros for individual funding of 364 students. The DAAD ranking is considered an important indicator of how strongly German universities are networking and building cooperations internationally.

According to Rector Ursula Staudinger, the path of internationalization strengthens the visibility and attractiveness not only for international cooperation partners but also for foreign students.

The DAAD is the world's largest funding organization for the international exchange of students and researchers. Since its founding in 1925, it has reportedly supported over three million academics, both men and women, in Germany and abroad. The DAAD is funded by German universities and student bodies and grants more than just scholarships. The DAAD promotes the internationalization of German universities, strengthens German studies and the German language abroad, and supports the development of universities in developing countries.

TU Dresden, located in Saxony's capital Dresden, consistently performs well in securing subsidies from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), often ranking third among German universities. The Technical University (TU) received approximately 11.2 million Euros last year, primarily for internationalization projects and scholarships. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) not only provides scholarships but also plays a crucial role in promoting the internationalization of universities in Germany, including TU Dresden.
