Trump's trial: jury delivers verdict

In the case against former President Donald Trump involving hush money, the verdict is near. The ex-president and his legal team wait anxiously in the courtroom for the announcement.

Just as the hush money trial against the former president Donald Trump reaches its conclusion, the jurors unanimously decide on a verdict. They ask for a brief extension of 30 minutes before the final verdict is announced. Trump and his lawyers are present in the courtroom, with Eric Trump sitting behind his father.

The ex-president faces charges of forging business records. These accusations stem from payments made by his ex-lawyer Michael Cohen to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep her silent about a supposed sexual encounter with Trump in 2006. The $130,000 payment was aimed at silencing Daniels from sharing details of the alleged encounter publicly.

Trump is accused of covering up the hush money by paying Cohen's legal fees. This alleged deception was done during the 2016 presidential campaign to conceal potentially damaging stories about Trump from the public.
