Trump's Doctor Details Gunshot Wound

A bullet missed Ex-President Trump's head by less than an inch. The wound on his ear is still bleeding but beginning to heal, according to his doctor. However, further investigations may be forthcoming for the Republican presidential candidate.

The bullet wound on the ear of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is healing well, according to his doctor's statement. The bullet came within inches of Trump's head during the assassination attempt, former White House doctor Ronny Jackson stated in a written statement.

Jackson, who flew to Trump's side that very evening and has been treating the ear since then, reported that the bullet caused a "two centimeter wide wound" that reached the "periosteum." Initially, there were significant bleedings followed by a noticeable swelling of the entire upper ear. The swelling has since subsided, and the wound is now beginning to heal properly. However, the ear is still bleeding and requires dressing, but suturing the wound is not necessary, Jackson added.

Trump to undergo further tests

Following the assassination attempt, Trump underwent further investigations, including a CT scan of the head. More tests, such as a comprehensive hearing test, are still pending. Trump's condition is reportedly good, and he is recovering as expected from the attack. "It's a miracle he wasn't killed," Jackson emphasized.

A week ago, during a campaign rally in the city of Butler in the state of Pennsylvania, a shooter opened fire on Trump. The assailant was killed by security personnel. One attendee was killed, and two others were injured. The incident was an escalation in the already heated US election campaign.

Jackson joined the White House medical team under President George W. Bush and became the Presidential Doctor under Barack Obama in 2013. He gained notoriety in 2018 for overly praising Trump's health condition. Trump intended to appoint Jackson as the head of the Veterans Administration. However, after allegations that the doctor had inappropriately dispensed medication and arrived drunk to work, Jackson withdrew his nomination.

Despite the healing progress of the bullet wound on his ear, Donald Trump is expected to undergo additional tests, including a comprehensive hearing test, due to the assault. The assassination attempt during the US Presidential Election 2024 campaign rally in Pennsylvania has put Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, under close medical scrutiny by doctors.
