Media reports - Trump will apparently prevent Harris' access to Biden-Donations

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is reportedly trying to prevent Vice President Kamala Harris from accessing certain campaign funds. The "New York Times" and CNN reported that Trump's team filed a complaint with the US Federal Election Commission (FEC) regarding campaign financing. Trump's team alleges that Harris is violating campaign financing laws by accessing funds that were previously collected by President Joe Biden when he was still a presidential candidate.

"Kamala Harris is attempting to steal Biden's remaining campaign funds in the amount of $91.5 million," quoted the newspaper and the broadcaster from the complaint, which was filed by Trump's lawyer David Warrington. This is "egregious" against the law, Warrington argued. Furthermore, it is stated that Harris has no claim to the money because she was not yet the official candidate. Additionally, it is argued that Biden cannot simply transfer the money because he no longer runs and therefore no longer has a claim to the millions.

Trump's team's move was anticipated. Discussions about the use of the funds Biden collected in his campaign have been ongoing since Biden's withdrawal. Biden's team had changed the name of their campaign from "Biden for President" to "Harris for President" after Biden's withdrawal.

Many legal experts argue that Harris' access to the money is legitimate, as her name was also registered as a vice presidential candidate. However, others come to the conclusion that Harris cannot simply access the money so easily. The dispute should not drag on until Election Day on November 3.

Despite Trump's team's complaint to the FEC about Vice President Kamala Harris allegedly violating campaign financing laws by accessing funds collected by President Joe Biden, several legal experts argue that Harris' access to the money is legitimate due to her registration as a vice presidential candidate.

This ongoing dispute between Trump's team and Vice President Kamala Harris over campaign funds collected by President Joe Biden during his campaign could potentially impact the financial resources of the Democratic Party ahead of the upcoming US-Presidential election on November 3.
