Trump returns to his congressional district.

Following Donald Trump's defeat in the 2020 US election, his supporters rioted at the Capitol in Washington on January 6, 2021. This is where Trump now finds himself, meeting with his Republican party members. The members expressed delight with their beloved candidate.

Former US President Donald Trump appeared in the Capitol Hill area of the US Congress for the first time since his followers stormed the Capitol. In the nation's capital, he met with party colleagues to unite the political party.

Trump declared after meetings with senators and representatives from his party that there was "great unity" and everyone was of a "sound mind." Afterwards, he repeated his campaign slogans and urged the public to vote in the presidential election.

Prior to Trump's arrival, Texas Senator John Cornyn emphasized the importance of "everyone singing from the same hymn sheet." Radical Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene gushed about Trump's "loveable," "funny," and "joke-making" personality after a meeting with him. The conversations took place in buildings near the Capitol.

Trump plans to return to the White House after the presidential election in November. He had to show up in person at a court hearing in Washington, D.C. for the case against him for attempted electoral fraud.

Trump's supporters stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021, confirming Biden's victory in the presidential election. Trump tried to sway his supporters by claiming, through witnesses, that he had been illegally denied a fair election due to massive fraud. This led to five deaths. Trump still denies acknowledging his loss to Biden.

Trump was not physically present in the Capitol during the riots. He reportedly watched the events unfold on TV from the White House. However, this isn't the first time Trump has been in Washington, D.C., since the end of his presidency. He also had to attend a court hearing in Washington, D.C. for the case against him in the attempt to subvert the election results.
