US campaign - Trump: Kamala Harris is more liberal than Bernie Sanders

The Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is criticizing his political opponent Kamala Harris during his campaign. For the past three and a half years, Harris has been the ultraliberal driving force behind every single Biden catastrophe, Trump said at a campaign event in Charlotte, North Carolina. After Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race, Harris announced her candidacy for her party.

Both Harris and Trump have recently focused their campaigns on particularly contested states. North Carolina is one of the Swing States, where it's not clear which party will win the presidential election on November 3 based on past results. In previous presidential elections, the Republicans have won in North Carolina, but the margin was extremely close. In 2008, North Carolina went to the Democrats with Barack Obama.

Trump: Harris will destroy our country

"Kamala Harris is the most liberal elected official in American history. Did you know that she's a liberal?", Trump asked. Harris is "absolutely terrible" and even more liberal than left-wing politician Bernie Sanders. Trump accused the 59-year-old of being unfit to lead. "She will destroy our country." The Democratic presidential candidate Harris has so far presented herself as a tough prosecutor and addressed Trump's legal issues. Trump is now a convicted felon.

Trump also spoke about the shooting at a campaign event for Republicans in the US state of Pennsylvania two weeks ago. "I should have been nice. They say something happened to me when I was shot, I was nice", Trump said. But when it comes to the Democrats, you can't be nice. "So I won't be nice if it doesn't affect you. Is that okay?", Trump asked, and the audience cheered.

Trump did not change his rhetoric after the shooting

On July 13, a shooter opened fire at a campaign event for Republicans in the US state of Pennsylvania. One bystander was killed, and two others were injured. Trump was wounded in the ear. Trump's first public speech after the shooting was a few days later at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. At the beginning of his speech, he advocated for unity and said, "The discord and division in our society must be healed." However, he soon fell back into his aggressive rhetoric, lied, and insulted political opponents.

  1. Despite the recent shooting at a campaign event in Pennsylvania, the US campaign for the upcoming Presidential election between Joe Biden's running mate Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump continues unabated.
  2. The Democrats, led by Kamala Harris, are strategically focusing their campaigns on Swing States like North Carolina, where the outcome of the US Election 2024 is still uncertain due to past close results.
  3. While Trump has been criticizing Harris for her liberal policies, she has responded by addressing his legal issues and positioning herself as a tough prosecutor in the US campaign.
  4. Biden's withdrawal from the presidential race paved the way for Harris to announce her candidacy for the Democrats, positioning herself as a strong contender for the role of the US-President in 2024.
  5. The Republicans, led by Trump, are also actively campaigning in key states, with Trump stating that Harris, if elected, would "destroy our country" due to her liberal stance.
  6. The US campaign for the Presidency in 2024 is expected to be highly contested, with both parties focusing on swaying voters in key states such as North Carolina.
  7. Bernie Sanders, the left-wing American politician, has been mentioned in connection with Harris' liberal policies, with Trump accusing her of being even more liberal than Sanders in the US campaign.
