Trump: Harris is easier to beat than Biden

According to Joe Biden's withdrawal as the US Democratic Party's presidential candidate, Donald Trump speaks out. The former president believes that Kamala Harris is easier to defeat in the US presidential elections in November than Biden.

After US President Joe Biden stepped down as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate due to growing doubts from his party friends, Donald Trump speaks out to CNN. The Republican presidential candidate told the US broadcaster CNN that, in his opinion, it is easier to defeat Kamala Harris in the US presidential elections in November than Joe Biden. Trump expressed his opinion to the network shortly after the news of Biden's withdrawal as the Democratic presidential candidate was announced, according to a CNN reporter on the X platform.

On his Truth Social platform, Trump also expressed his opinion about Biden. The 81-year-old stated, "He is not fit to run for the office of President, and certainly not fit to serve," he declared.

Biden had previously endorsed Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate. "Today, I want to publicly endorse Kamala Harris as our party's nominee for President in this election," Biden wrote on X.

Vice President Harris was already being discussed as a likely alternative in the event of a Biden withdrawal. In the polls, the 59-year-old former Senator came only to low approval ratings. The daughter of a Jamaican and an Indian is a pioneer: She was the first woman and first Black Vice President. Several years ago, she was also the first woman and first Asian American Attorney General of her home state of California.

In response to Biden's withdrawal, Trump reacted with several accusations against the Democrats. "The corrupt Joe Biden was not able to run for the office of President, and he is certainly not capable of serving - and he never was!", the Ex-President wrote on his Truth Social platform.

He accused Biden of "only getting the Presidency through lies, fake news, and by not leaving his basement." Trump also accused people close to Biden, his doctor, and the media of knowing that Biden "cannot handle the Presidency." The rest of his statement devolved into typical campaign rhetoric about immigration.

Following Biden's unexpected withdrawal from the Democratic Party's presidential candidacy, Donald Trump declared to the media that he considers Kamala Harris as a more challenging opponent to defeat in the 2024 United States Presidential Election than Biden. Reacting to the news on his social media platform, Trump further criticized Biden's fitness to run for the presidency again, implying it would be easier to defeat Harris.
