Following Taylor Swift's declaration of support for Harris on Instagram, Republican Donald Trump unleashed his anger on the social media site in capitals. "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" he posted on his Truth Social account, which serves as a megaphone for the Donald Trump presidential campaign and was co-founded as a substitute for Twitter.
Swift voiced her support for Harris shortly after their debate earlier that week, where the two confronted each other for the first time. Swift publicly announced her intention to vote for Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, in the upcoming November 5th election. With a staggering 284 million followers on the platform, Swift has a significant impact on her fanbase.
Before venting his frustration on Swift, Trump expressed his disdain for "rich, job-creating people" who support Harris through all-caps messages on Truth Social. On Sunday morning (local time), the account repeated its criticisms, asserting: "The failed New York Times is a real danger to democracy."
Trump had initially responded to Swift's endorsement with annoyance. "She always seems to support a Democrat," he stated. "And she'll probably pay a price for that in the market," he added.
