Election lies - Trump ally Giuliani loses license to practice law
The US state of New York revokes the law license of long-time Trump associate Rudy Giuliani. In his capacity as Trump's lawyer, the 80-year-old Giuliani made "demonstrably false and misleading statements in courts, legislative bodies and before the public" regarding alleged stolen ballots in the US presidential election 2020, according to a New York appellate court in its decision.
"These false statements were made to unlawfully bolster the claim of the plaintiff that his candidate had been denied the victory in the US Presidential Election 2020 due to widespread voter fraud," the ruling further stated. The misconduct cannot be overstated. Giuliani exploited his prominent position for lies.
From Hero to Punchline
