Traffic - Truck on fire - A5 fully closed in the direction of travel
In the night, a truck caught fire on Autobahn 5 near Rosbach in the Hessian Wetterau district. The truck had loaded hazardous material, as the police reported. The damage amounted to approximately 80,000 Euro. The driver remained unharmed. The A5 was closed in the Frankfurt direction between the Friedberg interchange and the Bad Homburg Crosswell into late night. Further details were not known yet.
The truck carrying dangerous goods caught fire was from the Wetterau district in Central Hesse. Authorities are cautious about directing traffic, considering the nature of the dangerous goods involved. Emergency services are working to divert traffic away from the Fire-stricken A5, towards safer routes.
