Church building badly damaged - Truck driver rams into church building in Austria
A 32-year-old truck driver rammed a building of a Pentecostal church in Austria with his transporter. The man had driven into the building several times in Brunnen am Gebirge near Vienna, reported the police. A police spokesperson explained that the driver had stated as motivation that the church had destroyed his life. No one was injured, but the object reportedly suffered "immense damage" according to the authorities.
The 32-year-old, who has lived in Austria since 2020, surrendered himself without resistance, it was said. At first, the investigations were taken over by the Criminal Office Lower Austria, now the investigations are being conducted by the State Security and Extremism Combating Office (LSE). The man is said to have attracted attention in the Pentecostal church a few weeks ago and torn a Bible.
The incident occurred in Brunnen am Gebirge, which is located near Vienna in Austria. The Austrian police are currently investigating the material damage caused to the Pentecostal church by the transporter of the suspect. Despite the severe damage, thankfully, no one from the church or the police was harmed during the incident.
