A 32-year-old truck driver rammed a building of a Pentecostal church in Austria with his transporter. The man reportedly drove into the building several times in Brunnen am Gebirge near Vienna, according to the police. A police spokesperson stated that the driver had stated as a motive that the church had destroyed his life. No one was injured, but the damage to the object itself was reportedly "immense" by the authorities.
The man had already attracted attention weeks ago
The 32-year-old, who has lived in Austria since 2020, reportedly submitted to arrest without resistance. Initially, the investigation was taken over by the Criminal Office Lower Austria, but now the investigations are being conducted by the State Security and Extremism Combating Office (LSE). The man is said to have attracted attention weeks ago in the Pentecostal church and torn a Bible.
Following the material damage caused to the Pentecostal church in Vienna, the police launched an investigation. Subsequently, during the investigation, it was discovered that the man had previously caused damage to the church by tearing a Bible several weeks prior.
