Two neighbors in the Landkreis Südliche Weinstraße actively helped with the removal of a tree from the road. The nut tree had uprooted in Bad Bergzabern due to strong wind, as the police reported.
Due to the size and thickness of the tree, heavy equipment was necessary. Two neighbors, aged 61 and 69, brought chainsaws and assisted the highway department in the removal. Then they pulled the trunk with a farm trailer from the road.
Despite the bad weather in Rhineland-Palatinate, the traffic in the area was less congested due to the quick removal of the tree. However, the heavy rain and strong winds continued to pose challenges for drivers, resulting in delayed journey times.
