In a severe accident involving a tourist bus in Italy, one person was killed and many others were injured. The bus reportedly veered off the highway near the city of Arezzo in Tuscany, crashing into a guardrail for unknown reasons, according to Italian news agency ANSA. Photos from the fire department show the bus's windshield completely pierced by the guardrail.
The passengers on the tourist bus were identified as Chinese tourists by the President of Tuscany, Eugenio Giani. There were a total of 45 people on board. 25 of them were injured, with two in critical condition, ANSA reported. Firefighters had difficulty extracting some passengers from the bus, which was wedged against the guardrail, but they were eventually able to free everyone.
