Transforming You into a Divine Master of Macs
One of the primary reasons to utilize a Mac is the abundance of high-quality indie applications available for it. My associates and I have covered numerous such applications, including tools to enhance your screen captures, enhance your screen recordings, and even some amusing apps that bring a smile to your face. I enjoy discovering these apps and am always on the lookout for new ones, but I understand that it can be overwhelming for some.
If you're the type of person who prefers having a single all-encompassing app, then you should check out "Mighty". It hosts over 50 useful tweaks and utilities, such as an emoji picker and a tool to copy text from images, all within a single app. It offers a 7-day free trial, and if you like it, you can purchase it from the developer's website for just $20. It's also available on the Mac App Store for $16, although a few tools may not be accessible in that version due to Apple's limitations.
Starting with Mighty
Before delving into the utilities, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the interface and how the app operates. The home screen might appear a bit chaotic at first, as it consolidates all utilities, and I, for one, prefer organizing utilities by folders. However, Mighty's left pane provides numerous sorting options. Start with the "Popular" tab to view the most frequently used tools, which will likely stand out as particularly useful. There are also sections organized by function, such as the "Display" section, which houses all tweaks related to your Mac's screen. Finally, you can create custom folders to organize the tools as per your preference. By default, Mighty comes with a "Favorite" folder that allows you to bookmark your preferred tools, but you can also navigate to the app's "Settings" and go to the "Workflow" tab to create more folders.
Lastly, I highly recommend setting up keyboard shortcuts for your favorite tools. Mighty allows you to create keyboard shortcuts for every utility, which you can do by going to a utility's page and clicking the gear icon in the bottom-right corner. From there, navigate to the "Configure" menu to access the keyboard shortcut option. With these tips in mind, let's explore some of the best utilities in Mighty.
Extracting Text from Images
This feature is available in Mighty through a tool called "Text Extractor". It can be found in the "Utility" section. Run it to automatically change the cursor into a crosshair. Then, click and drag within an image or even video to select the text, and Text Extractor will automatically copy it to the clipboard. You can paste it wherever you prefer.
Highlighting the Active Window
When you have multiple open windows, it can be challenging to focus on your task. In such cases, use Mighty's "Highlight Active Window" tweak to automatically dim all background windows. This will enable you to easily focus on the foremost window.
Adding a Middle Click to Your Mac
There are other "apps that provide middle-click functionality" for your Mac, but if you don't wish to utilize them, Mighty has its own. It's called "Middle Click", and it can be found in the "Mouse" section. Like other middle-click apps, it allows you to tap the trackpad (or Magic Mouse) with three fingers to middle-click. This feature can be used to quickly open links in background tabs in your browser.
Clearing the Clipboard in One Click

We've all inadvertently copied a password or sensitive credit card information at some point. If you use a reliable password manager, it will automatically clear the clipboard, but if you've copied sensitive data from your iPhone and are pasting it on the Mac, it's prudent to be extra cautious and clear it from the clipboard. You wouldn't want to accidentally paste it in an unsafe location. To accomplish this, use Mighty's "Clear Clipboard" utility.
Previewing Open Windows in the Dock
Windows PCs have a fantastic feature that displays thumbnail previews of all open windows when you move the mouse cursor to any app in the taskbar. Mighty allows you to replicate this feature on your Mac via its "Preview Dock Window" tool. This is available in the "Dock" section.
Viewing Keyboard Shortcuts
There are numerous simple methods to learn "the best keyboard shortcuts", and Mighty also offers one. This tool is called "View Shortcuts". Once you run it, it displays a searchable list of keyboard shortcuts for the app you're currently using. To make the most of this tool, you should use a keyboard shortcut to launch it.
Preventing Your Mac from Going to Sleep
The Mac app "Amphetamine" enables you to "prevent your computer from going to sleep". It's a great app, but if you're seeking a simpler tool, Mighty has one called "Keep Mac Awake". While Amphetamine is highly configurable, Keep Mac Awake maintains a simple approach. Enable it to prevent the Mac from going to sleep, and disable it when you're ready to let your computer rest.
Adding a Quit Button to the Finder Menu
Your Mac does not allow you to quit Finder easily. If you navigate to its menu, you won't see a quit button. Mighty allows you to add a Quit button to Finder using the "Add a Quit Option".
As macOS Sequoia boosts its window organization, Almighty offers an alternative with the powerful Snap Windows tool. Snap Windows offers top-notch window resizing capabilities on your Mac. When moving any application's window, Snap Windows displays a miniature preview, dividing your Mac screen into various sections. You can position the window in any of these sections, and it will automatically adjust its size and location. Simply slide it to the center, and it will maximize the window.
After exploring various utilities in Mighty, you might also want to consider Almighty Best Mac Utilities for an even more comprehensive solution. This third-party software suite comes with a plethora of tools, including 'Snap Windows', which simplifies window management by offering top-notch window resizing capabilities.
To further enhance your Mac experience, you can rely on Almighty Best Mac Utilities for features like 'Dock and Menubar Customizer' for personalizing your dock and menubar or 'Notification Center Tweaks' for managing app notifications more effectively.
