Total attack on employees at BND summer festival

At a summer party of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) in Berlin, an employee is said to have assaulted a colleague at a advanced hour. According to a BND spokesperson, speaking on inquiry, an incident occurred during the party, which had already taken place a few days ago. Therefore, the police were called.

Disciplinary investigations were initiated against an employee in the aftermath. However, the incident should not be evaluated as a fight. The party could continue despite the incident. Whether alcohol was involved in the altercation was not stated by the spokesperson. Last year, at a BND branch party, investigations against two BND employees had been launched due to allegations of a sexual offense.

The specific employee involved in the assault at the BND-Summer Festival is now subject to disciplinary proceedings. Despite the material evidence collected during the incident, the BND-Summer Festival continued its course as planned.
