Top-notch tablets within a 300 euro budget
Stiftung Warentest examines 11 present-day tablets and concludes that the middle class is being targeted. In their database, there are currently 23 high-quality devices priced at under 300 euros, with the least expensive one costing about 160 euros.
While the top-rated tablets cost around 1000 euros or more, the latest testing demonstrates that you don't need to spend over 300 euros if your requirements aren't too stringent. Performance and multitasking capabilities don't play significant roles. There are several exceptional tablets available for around 160 euros.
High Quality at a Reasonable Price
The top tablet in the 300-euro class is the Xiaomi Pad 6, which can be purchased for approximately 295 euros from online sellers. This device received positive feedback for its display and functions including computing and graphic performance. The battery life is also exceptional. However, the versatility was only average due to the lack of a manual. Overall, the Xiaomi Pad 6 received a quality rating of 2.1.
In second place with a total rating of 2.3 is the Honor Pad X9, which can be purchased for around 180 euros. Like the Xiaomi, this device received strong ratings for its durability, screen quality, and ease of handling. But similar to the Xiaomi, its versatility was merely satisfactory due to limited computing and visual capabilities. This shouldn't be a concern if you're not interested in playing graphically demanding games.
Another option with the same quality rating is the Lenovo Tab M11 TB330XU, which can be bought for a similar price. Its downside is the graphics performance, but this won't be an issue if you're not into playing demanding games. In all other categories, it received favorable marks, particularly since it comes with a stylus, thus scoring well in versatility.
Stiftung Warentest also tested a model with a mobile internet modem, which is not yet available. However, the WLAN version (M11 TB330FU) can be purchased from prices starting at 185 euros.
Affordable Tablet with Great Display and Battery Life
If a stylus isn't important but mobile internet is, take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G, available for around 230 euros. Despite its poor graphics performance, it has an excellent display, is simple to use, and has a long-lasting battery.
If you're looking for the most inexpensive well-rated tablet, the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2023) is your best bet at around 160 euros. Its computing and graphics performance are average, and it's not especially versatile as it's manufactured by Amazon. However, its screen quality and handling are above average, and it has a remarkable battery life.
