Competition - Thuringian Tourism Projects are awarded

With a total of 26,000 Euro, the Thuringian Tourism Prize 2024 is endowed. The competition for the prizes in various categories will run until the end of September. The winners will be determined on November 6th, according to the Thuringian Economics Ministry in Erfurt.

"We want to promote not only the quality and innovations in Thuringian Tourism with this prize, but also create new networks and increase the visibility of good practice examples," explains Economic State Secretary Carsten Feller.

Searching for Favorite Employers

The prizes would be awarded in the form of a Quality Seal, which would be connected to a monetary prize. Sought after were "Favorite Employers" - Companies that distinguished themselves through a worker-friendly corporate culture. In the category of Service and Quality, it was about high-quality and creative tourist products or services, and in the category of Sustainability about concepts for sustainable tourism.

With a special prize, the Tourist of the Year or Tourist of the Year would be awarded. Proposals could be submitted until September 30th.

The Thuringian Economics Ministry, located in Erfurt, is responsible for organizing the Thuringian Tourism Prize 2024, which carries a prize money of 26,000 Euros. This competition encourages the recognition of "Favorite Employers" in the hospitality industry, emphasizing companies with a worker-friendly culture. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy has expressed its support for this initiative, aiming to boost tourism in Thuringia via the prize and its associated recognition.
