Thousands of Spaniards rejoice in the "La Tomatina" festivity.

Around 22,000 individuals partook in a wild tomato-hurlin' bash in Spain. For an hour, these revelers in Buñol, situated in the Valencia region, spent their time chucking overripe, squishy tomatoes at one another. Approximately 120 metric tons of tomatoes served as the ammo, with the event organizers guaranteeing their inedibility. As per Guinness World Records, this event marked the world's largest food fight.

The 77th iteration of "La Tomatina," a long-standing custom, attracted numerous locals from Buñol, approximately 9,500 strong, as well as numerous tourists who had journeyed from both inside and outside Spain. RTVE, a state-owned Spanish TV channel, caught on record some elated participants hailing from Japan, Russia, Britain, and the USA. Various media outlets also documented attendees hailing from Australia and China.

Despite the vast number of participants from various countries, some visitors might have been drawn to the event due to its unique reputation. Regardless of their nationality, everyone participated in the chaotic 'Other' festivities, making it a truly global event.
