These are the new AfD partners in the EU Parliament

The search of the AfD for like-minded parties in the European Parliament is over. The party is founding a Mini-Faction with deputies from eight other EU countries. The proposals are diverse. Among them are Antisemites, Nationalists, Neofascists, Racists, and also Putin-Friends.

The AfD delegation is founding a Fraktion in the new European Parliament with other Right-wing parties. A spokesperson for Co-Party Leader Alice Weidel confirmed a corresponding report from "Welt". 28 Deputies from nine countries are supposed to belong to the new Fraktion - among them 14 AfD politicians. With these conditions, the requirements for the formation of a Fragment, namely at least 23 Deputies from seven member states, would be met. An overview of the new AfD partners:

Vazrazhdane from Bulgaria

Vazrazhdane means "Revival". The EU-skeptical, nationalist, pro-Russian, and anti-immigration party is represented in the EU Parliament for the first time. It provides three of the overall 17 Bulgarian deputies. The 2014-founded party demands that Bulgaria's EU membership be renegotiated in 2007. Additionally, Vazrazhdane demands approximately a referendum on Bulgaria's exit from NATO.

Reconquête from France

The right-extremist party Reconquête ("Reconquest") was founded by the publisher Éric Zemmour in 2021. He has been convicted several times for racist statements. Initially, only one representative of the Reconquête will be present in the new Right-wing Fragment. Although four others were elected to the European Parliament, they quarreled with Zemmour during the French elections and were therefore expelled from the party. To which camp they will align themselves in Brussels is open.

Lietuvos Saulės Sąjunga / LSS from Lithuania

The right-wing LSS Party gained one of the eleven mandates of the Baltic country in the European election. With Party Leader Petras Grazulis, the populist and Euroskeptical force will be represented by a politician who has caused controversy in the past with homophobic actions.

Konfederacja from Poland

The right-radical Konfederacja is Euroskeptical, populist, and antisemitic. The party gained six mandates in the European election. According to "Welt", three of them are supposed to be taken into the Fragment.

Republika from Slovakia

The Party Republika is considered nationalist or even neofascist. It demands that the EU be reduced to purely economic cooperation. It also calls for Slovakia's exit from NATO. The Republika gained two seats in the European election, but only one of the deputies is supposed to be taken into the Fragment according to "Welt".

Se Acabó La Fiesta / SALF from Spain

Se Acabó La Fiesta or SALF ("The Party is Over") is a movement of the political influencer Luis "Alvise" Pérez, which was only founded as a party a few months ago. At the European election, it won three seats out of nowhere. SALF is considered right-populist. Pérez describes his group as a liberal anti-system party.

SPD from Czech Republic

The name of the Czech SPD means "Freedom and Direct Democracy". The party demands, among other things, a "Zero Tolerance Policy" in the fight against illegal migration. Party Founder Tomio Okamura warns of an alleged Islamization of Europe. The SPD is represented in the new EU Parliament with one deputy.

Mi Hazank Mozgalom from Hungary

The name of the Hungarian Mi Hazank Mozgalom means "Our Home Movement". The party gained six seats in the European election. Its leader, József Szájer, resigned after a scandal involving a gay orgy in the European Parliament. The party is considered Euroskeptical and nationalist.

The Party Mi Hazank Mozgalom ("Movement Our Homeland") is located at the extreme right end in Hungary. It is extremely nationalistic and euroskeptical. In the new EU parliament, it is represented by one mandate. The party is mainly shaped by its chairman Laszlo Toroczkai. He has made a name for himself, among other things, as the founder of militant right-wing groups and leader of violent demonstrations against the former social-liberal government.

The AfD's search for allies in the European Parliament has resulted in the formation of a Mini-Faction with deputies from eight other EU countries, including Vazrazhdane from Bulgaria, Reconquête from France, Lietuvos Saulės Sąjunga/LSS from Lithuania, Konfederacja from Poland, Republika from Slovakia, Se Acabo La Fiesta/SALF from Spain, SPD from the Czech Republic, and Mi Hazank Mozgalom from Hungary. Vazrazhdane, an EU-skeptical, nationalist, pro-Russian, and anti-immigration party, will provide three deputies to the new Fraktion. The French right-extremist party Reconquête, founded by Éric Zemmour, initially will be represented by only one deputy due to internal disputes. The LSS, a right-wing and Euroskeptical party from Lithuania, will be represented by a controversial politician due to homophobic actions in the past. Konfederacja, the right-radical, Euroskeptical, and antisemitic Polish party, will contribute six mandates to the Fraktion. Republika, the Slovak nationalist or neofascist party, will provide one deputy to the new alliance, despite its calls for Slovakia's exit from NATO. SALF, a right-populist movement in Spain, unexpectedly won three seats at the European election and is now part of the Fraktion. The Czech SPD, with its "Zero Tolerance Policy" against illegal migration and warnings of an alleged Islamization of Europe, will be represented by one deputy. The Hungarian Mi Hazank Mozgalom, known for its Euroskepticism and nationalism, will be represented in the new EU parliament by one mandate, led by Laszlo Toroczkai, a founder of militant right-wing groups and leader of violent demonstrations against the former social-liberal government.

This new Fraktion brought together various parties from different European countries with diverse ideologies, including nationalism, Euroskepticism, and right-wing populism, raising concerns regarding racism, antisemitism, and right-wing extremism in the EU Parliament.
