In 2019, during the broadcast of Germany's 14th season of "Germany's Next Topmodel" (GNTM), Simone Kowalski emerged as the winner. However, it's Theresia Fischer, who placed 11th, who seems to garner more attention these days. This isn't entirely due to Fischer's current modeling skills at 32. Instead, Fischer has been making headlines with the radical cosmetic surgeries she's undergone recently.

Fischer's surgical journey began in 2016 when she decided to lengthen her legs. The motivation stemmed from bullying she faced in school, which made her feel "literally small." The procedure involved sawing through her thigh bones from the inside, followed by the insertion of telescopic rods that extended by a millimeter each day.

However, Fischer's surgeries didn't end there. Intriguingly, she also had her calves operated on due to issues with certain sexual positions. "I can't squat without falling back. I also lack flexibility in bed and constantly have to adjust my legs," she shared her predicament.

Fischer now stands at 1.84 meters

These operations weren't without their complications and painful aftermath. Medical professionals performed eight operations on Fischer's legs before they finally removed the extension rods and screws from her calves in late June. With her original height of 1.70 meters, Fischer now measures 1.84 meters tall.

In an interview with Bild, Fischer expressed her newfound joy and agility, including in the bedroom. "I can certainly say that I'm more flexible and graceful now - and that includes bed. Because the proportions are balanced," she shared her elated feelings.

She added, "I'm just grateful that I can finally put this entire ordeal behind me. I now have legs that were once my ex's idea, but in a way that I can walk properly again. And I can also give him the middle finger because he no longer has the representation he wanted: a tall model woman by his side."

The ex Fischer is referring to is documentarian Thomas Behrend, who she accuses of pressuring her into the leg lengthening surgery. Fischer and Behrend, who is 28 years her senior, symbolically married during GNTM's finale in 2019. They officially tied the knot the next day, but separated in 2022. Today, Fischer is involved with a dentist named Stefan, who is also 26 years older.
