Sail - The Warnemünde week is coming to an end

The 86th Warnemünde Week ends this Sunday after nine days. The organizers expressed their satisfaction just before the end. The events were well-attended and the funfair was also full, said a spokesperson on Saturday. The organizers had expected several hundred thousand visitors.

Sport-wise, the sailing regattas were the highlights, with 15 regattas of various sailing classes, events of the 1st and 2nd Sailing League, and the Sailing Champions League. Over 800 sailors and sailors had registered. Not every day could be sailed, as the spokesperson noted. Sometimes there was calm, other times there was a weather warning. But more sailing had taken place on other days. On land, many entertainment offers attracted visitors. The conclusion is still the Dragon Boat Festival on the southern Old Elbe River with around 1,200 athletes until Sunday.

The 86th Warnemünde Week is taking place in the beautiful region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Despite the occasional weather challenges, the Sail festival in Warnemünde has seen intense sailing activities, including regattas and events from various sailing classes. Many enthusiasts, totaling over 800, have participated in these sailing events. The Warnemünde Week, located near Rostock, will conclude on Sunday with the exciting Dragon Boat Festival, which will feature around 1,200 participants.
