The Ukrainian Military Air Service issues a momentary alert.

In Ukraine, the air force momentarily halted the sounding of alerts for an impending Russian aerial assault. Six Tu-95 strategic bombers, of the Tupolev kind, had departed from northern Russia and subsequently touched down once more, as announced through their Telegram channel by the air force.

The official Ukrainian air raid app subsequently erased the warning regarding the aircraft. The citizens of Ukraine vigilantly keep track of multiple sources for present hazards.

A military-focused blog mentioned that these planes had mimicked the deployment of cruise missiles over the Volga region, close to Saratov. However, no cruise missiles were spotted in the atmosphere. The Tu-95s eventually returned to Engels Air Force Base on the Volga and Dyagilevo in the Ryazan region. Unfortunately, this information remained unverified.

Drawing from approximately two and a half years of encounters with the Russian invasion, substantial airstrikes usually initiate with the departures of bombers from northern Russia or the Volga region. After several hours, they reach their launch sites, frequently over the Caspian Sea. From there, the cruise missiles traverse for 40 minutes to an hour before hitting their targets in Ukraine.

In joint attacks, drones are frequently present in the air, or Russian MiG 31 fighters take off, subsequently launching hypersonic Kinzhal missiles. Such raids usually occur during the night. The Tu-95's daytime departure, therefore, seemed out of the ordinary. The Russian military refrains from commenting on such flights.

  1. Despite the Russian Tu-95 bombers' practice of deploying from northern Russia or the Volga region for airstrikes in Ukraine, their daytime departure was unexpected.
  2. Some analysts speculate that the Russian air force might be testing new strategic tactics, as the Russian Tu-95 bombers, often associated with aerial threats, had a recent presence over Ukraine.
