The Trump-backer Kennedy faces dismissal from the family faction.

Trump's Satisfaction, Kennedy Clan's Fury. Following Independent Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s withdrawal from the Swing State Campaign, His Family Expresses Anger Towards His Decision. He's Charged with Breaking the Principles That John F. Kennedy Once Personified.

Several members of the Kennedy family have fiercely condemned independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for his alliance with former President Donald Trump during the ongoing U.S. presidential race. His sisters, Kerry Kennedy and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, along with Courtney Kennedy, Chris Kennedy, and Rory Kennedy, released a statement on X, labeling their brother's stance behind Trump as a "disappointing finale to a disappointing tale." They accused him of forsaking the beliefs that their father and the family hold dearly.

In the statement, the five Kennedy family members also endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her Running Mate, Tim Walz. "We support Harris and Walz," they stated.

Robert Kennedy Jr. acknowledged that his support of Trump has created strife within his family. "This decision is challenging for me due to the strain it's causing for my spouse, my kids, and my friends," he said in Phoenix on Friday. However, he expressed his conviction that he's making the right choice. "And this confidence provides me with inner tranquility, even in the midst of the storms."

Harris Attempts to Win Over Kennedy Supporters

The campaign team for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is now attempting to win over Kennedy's supporters. Harris aims to "win your trust," campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon said on Friday, addressing Kennedy's supporters. "Even if we don't see eye to eye on everything, Kamala Harris recognizes that we share more similarities than what separates us."

The independent Kennedy announced his withdrawal from the races in pivotal U.S. states in Arizona, stating that he wouldn't give Harris an advantage. He also expressed his support for Donald Trump. He cited disagreements with his former political base, including free speech, the Ukraine war, and the "war on our children."

Besides this, the 70-year-old criticized Harris' nomination as the Democratic presidential candidate without participating in the primaries. Trump applauded Kennedy's decision as "nice support." "He's a great guy," the former president added.

Political analysts are split on the impact Kennedy's decision will have on the election. His approval ratings are low, but in the current tight presidential race between Trump and Harris, a few thousand votes in some swing states could shift the balance. Dan Kanninen from Harris' campaign team also warned that the race for the White House will be "extremely close."

Despite Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s decision to support former President Donald Trump, which has caused tension within his family, Kennedy's sisters and brothers have publicly expressed their support for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.

In an attempt to appease Kennedy's supporters, Harris' campaign team is attempting to win them over, with campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon stating that Harris recognizes the commonalities between her supporters and those of Kennedy, despite any differences.
