The Tarran T1 Pro is said to be the ultimate e-cargo bike
The Tarran T1 Pro is a new electric cargo bike, which aims to set new standards with its exceptional equipment. Among other things, it comes with automatically deploying stabilizers, a rear camera, radar, and Bluetooth speakers. Additionally, an advanced safety system is expected to protect this expensive piece from thieves.
The fully suspended T1 Pro is 2.26 meters long and allows a load capacity of up to 220 kg. For example, it can carry two children up to 1.26 meters or three Euroboxes. A child seat with a 5-point harness is factory-fitted, and an additional seat can be mounted on the rear cargo rack. The supporting electric drive provides a torque of 100 Newton-meters. It is powered by two batteries, which with a total capacity of 1416 Wh are expected to provide a range of up to 200 kilometers.
Motorized stabilizers
A unique feature of the T1 Pro is stabilizers that sit under the transport box. Each one has its own motor and automatically deploys when braking and the cargo bike is going slow enough to topple over. They retract themselves when the speed is high enough for stable riding. The stabilizers are suspended to adapt to uneven terrain and can also be manually controlled.
A 5.2-inch touchscreen is located on the handlebar, providing access to range, ride data, and other parameters. It also displays images from the rear camera, and smartphone mirroring allows music and calls to be controlled through the display, which can be heard through integrated Bluetooth speakers. Handlebar buttons control lighting, stabilizers, and a selfie camera.
Safe in traffic and from thieves
The rear camera is part of a safety system that monitors traffic behind. The system warns the rider through handlebar vibration and shows live video streams on the screen when vehicles approach.
Another camera is mounted forward. With a 180-degree field of view, it is intended to compensate for potential sight restrictions. Safety is also increased by an "intelligent lighting system," which consists of headlights, tail lights, turn signals, and brake lights.
Tarran has not yet revealed how much the T1 Pro costs. However, it can be assumed that this cargo bike will not be inexpensive. Therefore, it is all the more important that the E-Lastenfahrrad also features a comprehensive theft protection system: As soon as the power supply is interrupted, the watch mode is activated automatically. It recognizes vibrations and triggers an alarm while simultaneously starting a video recording. The integrated GPS module is expected to enable precise location tracking of the T1 Pro, allowing its location to be monitored at all times.
