The man provisionally detained at Berlin-Spandau station is not the wanted former RAF terrorist. "Investigations have shown that he is not a wanted person," a spokesperson for the Verden public prosecutor's office told Deutsche Presse-Agentur. The man's release has been ordered.

Despite the initial suspicion of involvement in a crime, as the man was linked to the RAF terrorist group, the investigation ultimately concluded that he was not wanted for any crimes. Following the discovery of his innocence, the order to release him was issued due to the lack of any valid charges.
