Investigations - The pastor allegedly took photos under women's skirts

The French Justice is investigating a pastor in Alsace who is accused of photographing women under their skirts. The pastor has been temporarily suspended, the evangelical church in Alsace and Lorraine (UEPAL) announced. The newspaper "Les Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace" reported that the pastor was caught by the staff of a large supermarket in Colmar while photographing the underwear of customers. In another supermarket in the Alsatian city, the clergyman is said to have taken similar photos, including of minors. He is heavily charged with voyeurism.

According to the church's announcement, it initiated parallel investigations by the public prosecutor and an internal church disciplinary proceeding. It also informed the parishioners and mayors of the places where the pastor was assigned.

The investigation into the pastor's actions is taking place in the City of Colmar, located in the region of Alsace, France. The Public Prosecutor's Office in France is closely involved in this case due to the severe nature of the allegations of criminality. Despite being suspended, the determination of the church to uphold justice and protect its members is evident in their decision to conduct both an internal disciplinary proceeding and collaborate with the Public Prosecutor's Office.
