The casualty count in the flood-stricken areas of Central and Eastern Europe has increased to at least 23. In the Czech Republic, authorities discovered the corpse of a woman who had been absent since Sunday on Wednesday. On the other hand, the situation in Austria's flooded regions has slightly improved, with the Viennese government setting aside 45 million euros from their disaster fund for rebuilding.

Tropical storm "Anett", globally recognized as "Boris", has been dumping heavy rain and flooding in Austria, parts of the Czech Republic, Poland, and Romania since Friday. To date, five individuals have perished in Austria, seven in Poland, and seven in Romania.

The fourth fatality in the Czech Republic is a 70-year-old woman hailing from the village of Kobyla nad Vidnavkou in the northeast of the nation, who had been unaccounted for since Sunday. She was discovered deceased on Wednesday, as a police representative confirmed. According to the Czech News Agency CTK, she became trapped in a fence close to her residence by the Vidnavka river.

Police continue their search for eight additional missing individuals in the Czech Republic. The flood, which submerged vast regions and demolished countless homes, is now abating, exposing extensive damage.

The flood conditions have also abated in severely impacted Lower Austria, facilitating cleanup operations. The Viennese government has earmarked 45 million euros from their disaster fund for reconstruction, as Chancellor Karl Nehammer declared. The fund will eventually swell to a total of one billion euros.

In the search for the eight missing individuals in the Czech Republic, authorities are navigating the now-abating flood conditions. The decaying flood in Lower Austria has allowed for the commencement of cleanup operations, as noted by Chancellor Karl Nehammer.
