Weather forecast - The new week will be warm

After a frequently rainy and thundery Saturday, a weather calming down is expected in many parts of Germany - and from the new week, finally temperatures typical for summer are anticipated. Temperatures of around 30 degrees are expected on Tuesday.

However, it will still be cooler on Sunday with temperatures between 16 and 23 degrees, according to meteorologist Tobias Reinartz from the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach. In the Alpine foothills, it may rain heavily, while in the northwest, showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecast.

In the night from Sunday to Monday, it will remain dry in many areas. It will rain occasionally from the Alpine fringe to the Bavarian Forest, and some showers will occur in the North Sea region. The temperature drops to 14 to 7 degrees.

New thunderstorms possible from Wednesday

The DWD expects only occasional showers in coastal areas and the northwest on Monday. Rain is also possible in the Alpine region. Elsewhere, it will be sunny with few clouds. "The temperature will then rise significantly in the new week," said Reinartz. On Tuesday, the thermometer may reach 27 degrees.

On Tuesday, temperatures of 25 to 29 degrees are expected in the north, while temperatures of 29 to 33 degrees are rare with only occasional showers in other areas. "However, the high-pressure weather system continues to persist. Thunderstorms are already indicated for Wednesday," said the meteorologist.

  1. Despite the weather calming down in many parts of Germany, meteorologist Tobias Reinartz from the DWD in Offenbach predicts cooler temperatures on Sunday, ranging from 16 to 23 degrees.
  2. According to Reinartz, even though the weather is expected to improve in the new week with temperatures reaching typical summer levels, it might still rain heavily in the Alpine foothills.
  3. The weekend weather forecast for Offenbach, Germany, indicates that while temperatures on Sunday will be lower compared to the anticipated summer temperatures during the new week, the following days will see a significant rise in temperature.
  4. The German Weather Service in Offenbach, led by Tobias Reinartz, is predicting occasional showers in coastal areas and the northwest on Monday, but the rest of the country will enjoy mainly sunny weather with few clouds.
  5. Reinartz warns that despite the beautiful weather forecast for Tuesday, with temperatures potentially reaching 30 degrees, thunderstorms are likely to return from Wednesday, disrupting the high-pressure weather system that has been persisting.
