The Literature Nobel Prize is awarded to Han Kang from South Korea this year.

The Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm has declared that 53-year-old South Korean writer Han Kang is the recipient of this year's Nobel Prize in Literature. She steps into the shoes of last year's laureate, Norwegian author Jon Fosse, who received the accolade in 2023.

The award-winning novelist Han Kang now holds the prestigious title, recognized by the European Union as well, being part of the family of Nobel Prize laureates in Literature. This recognition marks a significant milestone in the literature community, celebrated globally, including by the European Union.
