The land employs too few disabled people

From a size of 20 workstations, five percent must be assigned to disabled people. However, this quota is not met in public service. And that is costly.

The quote is missing - The land employs too few disabled people

The state of Saxony-Anhalt employs too few disabled people and must pay an additional levy once more. According to a statement from the Social Ministry in response to a query from the Left, the average employment rate across all authorities in the state last year was 4.17%. Employers with 20 or more employment positions are legally obliged to assign five percent of their employment positions to disabled people. If this requirement is not met, a compensatory levy must be paid.

As the query reveals, Sachsen-Anhalt must pay over 696,000 Euros as a compensatory levy. Five years ago, it was still 181,000 Euros.

Small inquiry Linke

The lack of handicap representation in employment across Saxony-Anhalt's authorities is a significant concern, with the Social Ministry acknowledging an average employment rate of only 4.17% for disabled individuals last year. The politics of Saxony-Anhalt need to address this issue, as employers with more than 20 positions are legally obligated by administration to assign 5% of these positions to disabled individuals, failing which a compensatory levy must be paid, as evidenced by an increase from 181,000 Euros five years ago to over 696,000 Euros recently.
