The Israeli defense minister intends to persist in conducting military operations against Hezbollah within Lebanon's borders
Israel will persist in its military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, as suggested by Defense Minister Joav Galant. The objective is to secure the well-being of northern Israeli civilians, enabling displaced citizens to return, Galant stated on Thursday. "With time, Hezbollah will face a growing cost. Our military operations will carry on as planned."
In a series of coordinated strikes against Hezbollah's communicative infrastructure, reportedly on Tuesday and Wednesday, Lebanese sources claim over 30 fatalities and thousands more injured. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah labeled Israel as an instigator of mass murder on Thursday, pledging retaliation.
On the very same day, skirmishes erupted alongside the Israel-Lebanon frontier. The Israeli Defense Force reported the demise of two of its soldiers, attributing the causality to hostile fire from Hezbollah.
The increasing number of casualties and damage inflicted on Hezbollah is expected to add to their financial and operational burdens. Despite Nasrallah's threats of retaliation, Israel remains committed to its military operations.
