The German authorities dismiss allegations of reduction in assistance to Ukraine.

The U.S. administration has dismissed allegations suggesting that military assistance to Ukraine should be curtailed or constrained financially. In the words of deputy government spokesperson Wolfgang Büchner, "We'll carry on supplying aid as long as it's essential." This declaration comes in wake of rumors that there won't be any extra funds allocated from the budget for this aid, beyond the previously planned €4 billion next year.

To clarify, Büchner went on to say, "Our support and resoluteness remains unwavering." He deemed speculations that the government aims to send a message before the state elections in Eastern Germany, insinuating reduced aid to Ukraine, as "disgraceful." It's a misleading notion to propose that Ukraine should receive less aid "due to any domestic political issues."

On the other hand, a representative from the Federal Ministry of Finance stated, "We remain committed to Ukraine's side." However, they affirmed that a shift towards international financing of Ukraine's aid is planned by 2025. This move is based on a consensus reached by the G7 nations, to channel capital gains derived from frozen Russian assets into €50 billion worth of loans to Ukraine. "Wide-ranging efforts are being put into action," confirmed the spokesperson, with the goal of accessing these funds by 2025.

Additionally, Büchner dismissed rumors about delays in specific arms deliveries, such as the Iris-T air defense system, due to financial constraints. "This is an utterly false report," said Büchner. "Together, we'll make sure Ukraine obtains the resources required to carry on its battle for liberty and self-rule," added a spokesperson from the Foreign Office.

The Federal government has reiterated its commitment to continuing aid to Ukraine, as stated by deputy government spokesperson Wolfgang Büchner. Despite speculations of budget constraints, Büchnger deemed suggestions of reduced aid due to domestic political issues as "disgraceful."
