Which city is hosting Eurovision Song Contest 2025? Switzeland has taken the title thanks to Nemo's victory with the tune "The Code" during this year's contest in Malmo. Switzerland emerged victorious at ESC. The contenders for hosting duties are Basel or Geneva, with the official announcement set for August 30th.

The precise date of the finale remains undetermined, as stated by a representative from the Swiss media company SRG. Usually, Eurovision occurs in May. Whispers suggest the finale might be on May 10th.

Rooms priced above 6000 CHF?

Accommodations in Basel for the presumed finale week have seen prices soar beyond 6000 CHF per night, equating to approximately 6200 EUR without breakfast.

When seeking clarification, the initial price is verified, but then it is mentioned that due to the ESC preparations, no figures can be disclosed for that week. A three-star hotel, in contrast, offers a room for 634 CHF per night.

In Geneva, hoteliers appear more reasonable. A four-star hotel adjacent to the airport exhibition grounds still has a room up for grabs at 399 CHF per night.

Should it be held in Basel, the spectacle would unfold at the St. Jakobshalle grounds. In Geneva, the music festival would take place at the Palexpo exhibition grounds close to the airport.

The Swiss, who are currently preparing to host Eurovision Song Contest 2025, have not yet revealed the exact date of the event due to ongoing preparations. Despite the uncertainty, rooms in potential host city Basel are significantly more expensive, often exceeding 6000 CHF per night.
