Geraldine Rauch, the university president embroiled in controversy, is said to make a decision regarding her future with the Technical University of Berlin tonight, as per the Academic Senate's belief. However, during their four-hour meeting today, the committee, led by Annette Hiller, did not discuss Rauch's future - instead, they conducted a poll among the 25 members to gauge opinion on her remaining at the university. The results were passed on to Rauch, who now has 24 hours to respond. A spokesperson revealed that the public would learn of the decision tomorrow. The Academic Senate includes professors, academics, students, and staff specializing in technology, services, and administration.

Regarding the incident on social media platform X, Rauch has received criticism for liking antisemitic posts. Specifically, she liked a tweet featuring photos of demonstrators holding a sign with a swastika and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Yet, Rauch issued an apology, explaining that she had liked the post for its text and failed to pay attention to the image. The person behind the tweet insists the demonstrators in the photo were Turkish, asking for a ceasefire in Gaza Strip.
