After heavy rainfall, many places in Bavaria are still in the doldrums.

The count of individuals yet to be found has decreased.

In Bavaria, there are fewer individuals reported missing from the flood than earlier in the week. As per a representative from the Bavarian Interior Ministry, there were three people still unaccounted for by early Thursday morning, as reported by the German Press Agency. This is a reduction from the fluctuating numbers of five to seven reported missing on Tuesday. The spokesperson noted that the cases are "tendentially" decreasing.

Among those still missing is a 22-year-old firefighter, who currently has search efforts underway in Swabia. He went missing after capsizing a DLRG rescue boat in Offingen on Sunday.

However, the number of missing people may change again - either if those who were reported missing turn up at the authorities or if additional missing person cases emerge in the regions in eastern Bavaria still reeling from the flood.
