The condition in Brandenburg has shown improvement.

The situation with flooding in Brandenburg has improved significantly. By 6 AM on a Friday, all levels across the Oder had dipped beneath the warning threshold for level four, as per data from Potsdam's environmental agency. In response, Brandenburg's Green Party enviro minister, Axel Vogel, advocated for additional safety measures in anticipation of potential future floods.

At Ratzdorf's gauge, the reading was 5.88 meters at 6 AM. In Eisenhüttenstadt, it was 6.28 meters, and in Frankfurt an der Oder, it was 5.95 meters, all just a smidgen under the warning threshold for level four. A slight further drop was projected at all three sites, although level four alerts remained active for the time being.

Preliminary assessments reveal minimal damage caused by the flood in Brandenburg. Several minor water breaches occurred in Frankfurt an der Oder, one of which was even at the ongoing flood protection construction site near the northern Oder promenade. Luckily, emergency services managed to swiftly contain the situation.

Further down the stream, alarm level one was reached at the Kienitz gauge. According to predictions from Potsdam's environmental agency, this level should not surpass its maximum, as some of the water will divert into the Warthe beforehand. Slightly above Kienitz, levels rose slightly in Hohensaaten-Finow, resulting in the declaration of alarm level one. The weekend was forecast to see a rise in water levels to the alarm level two threshold, but it was expected to decrease once again by Monday.

The alert level at the Kienitz gauge was raised to level one, while in Hohensaaten-Finow, levels rose slightly, prompting the declaration of alarm level one. Despite these alerts, Brandenburg's environmental agency predicted that the levels should not exceed their maximum and should decrease back to normal by Monday.
