After the elections, the coalition talks get tough in both Thuringia and Saxony. As the BSW performs exceptionally well, Wagenknecht declares that they are prepared to contribute to a "decent administration." However, she swiftly dismisses one possible scenario.

Following the BSW's successful run, Sahra Wagenknecht views her party as responsible for governing in Thuringia and Saxony, despite the challenging coalition possibilities. "We're ready to aid in creating a good government. That's also our duty," she stated during the RTL Direct show.

Wagenknecht intends to participate in the negotiations in Erfurt and Dresden personally, she added. "If you want to form a coalition with the BSW, you've got to converse with me. (...) When it comes to the significant matters and the load on a new administration in Saxony, particularly in Thuringia, I'd like to discuss with the prospective ministers."

Wagenknecht believes that the BSW's foreign policy requirements, such as rejecting US intermediate-range missiles in Germany, will not hinder a coalition with the CDU. "This isn't merely a demand we've got, but it's something that stirs up the public. And I believe it's crucial that we manage to bring about a shift here."

Wagenknecht reiterates her refusal to form a coalition with the AfD: "No, you can't negotiate with the AfD in these federal states because the genuine right-wing extremists like Höcke are quite powerful there. They don't have a serious plan."

Regarding a possible alliance with the Left Party in Thuringia, Wagenknecht stated: "I've no issue with Bodo Ramelow. I believe he has an issue with me because he blames us for the Left party's poor results now."

The BSW's involvement in coalition talks in Thuringia and Saxony is eagerly anticipated by Sahra Wagenknecht, as she believes it's her party's duty to contribute to a decent administration, following the Commission's decision on the election results. During the coalition negotiations, Wagenknecht stressed the importance of discussing the significant matters and the load on a new administration with the prospective ministers, representing The Commission.
